Hi:)

From Vancouver, 🇨🇦 to Mountain View, California.

I interned on the Future of Android UX team in 2018 at the Googleplex.

The team functioned as an R&D innovation lab that conceptualized projects 2-3+ years out.  Golden Krishna, design lead and author of “The Best Interface is No Interface”, coached me as I worked on a design strategy project.

The Project

The project was an extension of Android Slices. One form of Android Slices was released at Google I/O in 2018: Bits of information from apps that surface on mobile search.

I explored multiple use cases to find and define a new mobile framework based on this idea of Slices. The framework needed to benefit the different Android stakeholders including app developers and smartphone users.

I worked with a UX engineer and product manager to ideate and understand the pros and cons of different product directions on technical feasibilities, such as triggers, and business values.

I also had the opportunity to work with team members, including the design manager of the team who taught me more about systems thinking.

Due to confidentiality, my project write-up ends here:)
